— Real estate prices climbed to a record high in Vietnam’s Vietnam Beach district, reaching an all-time high of $3.1 million on Tuesday, up 8.4% from the prior record of $2.7 million set in July.
The median price in the district, which covers the entire city of 1.8 million people, rose 10.2% from July, according to a report by the real estate agency Realtor Viet Nam.
In the U.S., the median price for a home was $2,879, up 0.7% from June.
In the first quarter of 2017, the median home price was $3,719, up 6.2%.
The average price of a house in the U., which is typically more affordable than Vietnam, was $5,400, up 3.9%.
In 2017, there were an estimated 10.3 million people living in Vietnam, up 2.2 million from the previous year.
