Hanoi is one of the most expensive places in the world to rent a home, according to data from a new study.
While Vietnam is the cheapest country to rent in the region, the cost to rent out your home in the capital city of Hanoidos market is actually more expensive than the cost of renting it in neighboring cities.
According to a report by the National Bureau of Statistics, the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment in Hanojung in the northern province of Saigon was $1,764 a month, a far cry from the $3,932 average monthly rent in neighboring Saigon.
Saigon, which is home to the largest population of refugees in Southeast Asia, has the second-highest monthly rent of any major city in the country, according the National Bank of Vietnam.
In contrast, Hanoijung’s rent for two-bedroom apartments in Saigon is $2,974 a month.
The median monthly rent for Hano-Jung is $3.8 million, according NBR data.
According, Hatoi is also one of Vietnam’s most expensive cities to rent an apartment.
The city with the third-highest median rent is Ha Tinh, in the province of Binh Dinh.
The monthly rent there is $5,868, according data from the Vietnam Real Estate Institute.
According research by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the median monthly income in Hatojung is just $1.25 million, a fraction of the average income of over 20 million people in the city.
This means that the average Hanoimian will spend more than $1 million a year on rent in Hinojung.
Hanoi has been ranked as the least affordable city in Vietnam by the World Bank since 2013.
According to a study by the Global Bidding Association, Haoi ranked among the most affordable cities in Vietnam, ahead of Vietnam Beach in the central province of Lang Son Nhut and Ang Ouin in the northeast province of Thua Thienh.
Haoi is ranked as one of Southeast Asia’s most corrupt cities according to a 2016 report by Transparency International.
In 2016, it was ranked as second in the rankings of the World Corruption Perception Index, behind only Jakarta, Indonesia.
The report also said that Hanoibos corruption rate is one in 10,000.
